Champion Improved Mentoring Skills as An Endorsed Training Provider

Mentors constantly improve themselves and upgrade their skills and knowledge to ensure their clients receive the best. Through Endorsed Training Programs, your organization can help mentors deliver better and more positive impact.

What is Endorsed Training?

Mentoring is a skill that requires continuous and progressive education to upgrade. This attitude of upgrading mentoring education is mandatory for any mentor who aims to develop their professional abilities, renew their credentials, or become eligible for a higher credential.

International Mentoring Center (IMC) strongly emphasizes the significance of credentialed mentors’ ongoing professional growth, ensuring they consistently improve their abilities and expertise to provide their clients with top-notch support.

Endorsed training programs are a way to improve mentoring skills and knowledge through short, interactive, and educational activities like webinars, seminars, and online or offline courses. These programs can be obtained through endorsed training providers.

Become an Endorsed Training Provider

IMC has set up a system to ensure that a mentor’s learning never stops. Endorsed Training aims to help mentors achieve their learning goals as best as possible. As an accredited Endorsed Training provider, your organization receives unmatched visibility in the mentoring industry and can increase its impact on the community.

Organizations that run short mentoring programs with less than 20 hours of mentoring training can qualify clients as Endorsed Training Providers. These programs can be eligible for their clients for Certified Associate Mentor, Certified Professional Mentor, or Certified Master Mentor credentials or for credential renewals. Training centers must provide courses that provide mentoring skills development or domain or knowledge development. Each program’s curriculum must include the following in their courses:

IMC’s Definition of Mentoring

IMC Code of Conduct and Ethics

IMC Core Competencies

The programs must provide their clients with the necessary skills for each credential and enhance their skills and knowledge for credential renewal.

The validity of each credential is two years from the date of issue. After which, for renewal, these requirements must be fulfilled by a credential holder with the help of endorsed training providers:

A credential renewal needs 20 endorsed training hours, of which:

  • The IMC Core Competencies must be 5 hours
  • Resource or Professional Development must be the remaining 20 hours

During the application renewal for a credential, mentoring programs or endorsed training programs attended after the initial date of the credential will only be considered.

IMC has a thorough and rigorous review process to ensure that organizations maintain the quality and standards of mentoring education programs. Our goal is to ensure endorsed training providers maintain the highest standards in mentoring education.

Each section requires you to provide details about your organization or your endorsed training program. Once you submit your application, IMC will thoroughly examine it and the uploaded documents. The review process may take up to 4-6 weeks from the time you complete the application and payment. You may be asked to provide additional details; please comply.

For further clarification on the process, feel free to contact us.

Upon successful review, you will receive an email update about your IMC accreditation and a media kit to showcase your accreditation. The accreditation is valid for two years from the date of issue.
