Route

Individuals who are new to mentoring and have no prior training or experience

- Complete structured training of 20 hours with an IMC Accredited Training Provider
- Complete the IMC Foundation Course
- Complete the IMC assessment successfully

IMC Associate Mentor credential awarded upon successful completion
Professional Recognition
Route

Individuals with prior mentoring experience, equivalent training or existing credentials

If you desire to become a mentor, the first step is to get an IMC membership, followed by an application process to become a Certified Associate Mentor (CAM).
When you become an approved Certified Associate Mentor (CAM), it signifies your association with Global Standards, being Professionally Distinct, and demonstrates a Commitment to Excellence.
You can get CAM credentialed through one of the following pathways depending on your situation:
a. Learning: This path is for those who are absolutely new to mentoring.
b. Professional recognition: This is for people with prior mentoring experience, previous training, or existing credentials.
There are two fee structures for a CAM credential:
a. For existing IMC members – $175
b. For non-IMC members – $325 (Individual Membership + CAM Credential)
