Mentoring Progress that Grows Exponentially

Become a better mentor by advancing your skills and development. Get recognition for your development by becoming eligible for an IMC credential renewal.

How can you Advance your Mentoring Career?

Career advancement is more than just about climbing a corporate ladder. It’s about learning skills that can help you reach your goals and positively impact your community. Mentoring has emerged as an essential skill of the 21st century, and we recognize that continuous development and learning are part of the mentoring mentality. To renew your IMC credentials, you can tap into this mentality and advance your career through various learning activities related to mentoring education, experience, or your organization.

How can I Renew my Credentials?

We have outlined ways for you to meet the minimum requirement of 30 Mentor Development Credits (MDC) for credential renewals. Each activity has designated points that can be accumulated over the current credential cycle and submitted during the renewal application process. To be eligible for renewal, one must complete 30 MDCs and receive 10 mentoring supervision sessions during the current credential cycle. An application for an honorary credential can be submitted through a nomination from another individual who also acknowledges the candidate’s worthiness for the credential. The application can also be self-nominated by the individual.

Mentor Development Credit Allocation

International Mentoring Center (IMC) recognizes that mentoring development and learning can be attained through various methods and platforms. We want to honor these multiple channels and open up the opportunity for you to approach your development and learning as a holistic process. We have assigned Mentor Development Credits to the activities that can typically help a mentor achieve more honed experience and understanding in their industry and in mentoring.
