IMC in Morocco

Agriculture has always been central to Morocco’s economy. But the country is now going through a strong momentum to diversify heavily into non-agricultural sectors. In this effort, mentoring has been playing a very powerful role. A strong domestic demand and infrastructure investments will open up the market for newer opportunities and FDIs.

Some of the core mentoring initiatives in Morocco include:

  • At the heart of Morocco’s development model is the Moroccan Technopark network, which has supported over 3,000 startups across Rabat, Casablanca and Tangier.
  • The “Promotion de l’Entrepreneuriat” (PROMET) project initiative, supported by international partners like GIZ, deploys specialized mentoring and expertise programs. Local incubators also benefit in the long run.
  • At the national and university level, mentoring efforts pair founders with business experts. This is a catalyst for creating jobs and private sector competitiveness.

The International Mentoring Center helps establish global mentoring standards through our offerings in membership, credentials, accreditation and many events that share information on the latest developments in the field of mentoring.

Accreditation Process

How Organizations in Morocco Can Get IMC Accreditation

To maintain the highest level of standards in global mentoring, IMC has a rigorous review system to audit your organization’s program quality as part of our strict accreditation process requirements in Morocco.

Your organization can opt to provide a mentoring program with more than 20 hours of training or a shorter one. This can get you a training accreditation or an endorsed training accreditation.

Your program must include mentoring skills and domain or knowledge development so as to be eligible for accreditation. Every program must incorporate the following three sections compulsorily:

The IMC Definition of Mentoring
The IMC Code of Conduct and Ethics
The IMC Core Competencies (minimum of 3 must for accreditation)

The programs must provide participants with the necessary skills for each credential and ensure that the trainer is the primary mentor supervisor for at least a year.

The accreditation will be valid for three years from the date of issue.

The Accreditation Application Flow

The entire accreditation application process takes around four to six weeks.

Stage 1: Organization Details

Stage 2: Program Details

Stage 3: Instructor Details

Stage 4: Terms and Conditions

Following a successful review, you’ll receive an email notification confirming your IMC accreditation status and a media kit to display your accreditation.
