Accreditation Process

How Organizations in Egypt Can Get IMC Accreditation

To maintain the highest level of standards in global mentoring, IMC has a rigorous review system to audit your organization’s program quality as part of our strict accreditation process requirements in Egypt.

Your organization can opt to provide a mentoring program with more than 20 hours of training or a shorter one. This can get you a training accreditation or an endorsed training accreditation.

Your program must include mentoring skills and domain or knowledge development so as to be eligible for accreditation. Every program must incorporate the following three sections compulsorily:

  1. The IMC Definition of Mentoring
  2. The IMC Code of Conduct and Ethics
  3. The IMC Core Competencies (minimum of 3 are must for accreditation)

The programs must provide participants with the necessary skills for each credential and ensure that the trainer is the primary mentor supervisor for at least a year.

The accreditation will be valid for three years from the date of issue.

You can get IMC Egypt membership through our website after fulfilling the eligibility requirements. Though certain initiatives may require you to be present in-person, others such as the quarterly meetings are done virtually.

Many Egyptian mentoring programs are free and volunteer-based for participants. But possessing an IMC membership puts you at advantage in terms of credentials, accreditations, and access to exclusive resources.

In Egypt, a mentoring cycle is tailored to meet your specific requirements. Some last as little as 2 weeks, while others can go on for months. The mentorship period depends on goals, availability, and the nature of the mentoring request.

To increase your chances of being accepted into mentoring programs, Egyptian organizations recommend composing a compelling letter of motivation that outlines the following:

  • Your enthusiasm for your field of specialization
  • Your reasons for seeking a mentor’s support
  • Your qualifications that make you a suitable candidate for mentoring

This letter helps matching teams understand your goals and find the most suitable mentor for your needs.

Your organization can apply for accreditation from IMC provided it fulfills the eligibility requirements, which must include the IMC definition of mentoring, IMC Code of Conduct & Ethics, and IMC Core Competencies (at least 3 of them). IMC validates your program for alignment with international best practices while fostering a strong mentoring culture in Egypt.
