IMC in New Caledonia

New Caledonia has been traditionally reliant on the nickel mining industry. The territory is increasingly deploying mentoring to break away from this economic vulnerability. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI-NC) and Reseau Initiative Nouvelle-Caledonia act as foundational pillars for grassroots entrepreneurship, providing personalized coaching, financial structuring, and operational mentorship to local MSMEs across all three provinces.

Mentorship in New Caledonia aggressively targets the Blue Economy, sustainable agriculture, and climate resilience due to its massive exclusive economic zone and rich biodiversity. The La French Tech Nouvelle-Caledonie accreditation formally integrates the territory into the global French innovation network. This grants local founders access to elite mentoring and acceleration pipelines.

IMC New Caledonia looks forward to actively supporting the territory in its efforts towards digital transformation and rigorous crisis recovery in its nickel mining industry. Mentors will have to support startups exporting their marine biotech, renewable energy solutions, and digital services directly to neighboring markets like Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji.
