IMC in Turkmenistan

Turkmenistan has long been dependent on hydrocarbon exports to run its economic engine. Structured mentorship is being considered as a critical tool to diversify the economy and bring in more youth-led private enterprises. The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) acts as the primary institutional driver, which operates local incubators. International institutions like EBRD’s Women in Business supplement this framework by pairing female founders with seasoned mentors to strengthen operational capacity, improve creditworthiness, and bridge the gender gap.

The young demography of Turkmenistan has huge potential, and this is being utilized through initiatives such as the Startup Ecosystem Program in collaboration with USAID Youth Development Activity (YDA). This targeted mentorship helps transition the nation’s digital sector from a conceptual stage into commercially viable operations locally in e-commerce, logistics, and smart agriculture. IMC is helping set the global mentoring standards towards achieving this momentum.

Turkmenistan looks forward to growing its nascent incubator networks and introducing private structured capital. Also create sustainable, localized accelerator hubs eventually driven by local angel investors and successful Turkmen founders acting as veteran mentors. The mentoring ecosystem standardized by IMC Turkmenistan will eventually help local ventures integrate seamlessly into the Central Asian economies’ blocs and cross-border trade corridors.

Accreditation Process

How Organizations in Turkmenistan Can Get IMC Accreditation

To maintain the highest level of standards in global mentoring, IMC has a rigorous review system to audit your organization’s program quality as part of our strict accreditation process requirements in Turkmenistan.

Your organization can opt to provide a mentoring program with more than 20 hours of training or a shorter one. This can get you a training accreditation or an endorsed training accreditation.

Your program must include mentoring skills and domain or knowledge development so as to be eligible for accreditation. Every program must incorporate the following three sections compulsorily:

The IMC Definition of Mentoring
The IMC Code of Conduct and Ethics
The IMC Core Competencies (minimum of 3 must for accreditation)

The programs must provide participants with the necessary skills for each credential and ensure that the trainer is the primary mentor supervisor for at least a year.

The accreditation will be valid for three years from the date of issue.

The Accreditation Application Flow

The entire accreditation application process takes around four to six weeks.
