Become an IMC Accredited Training Center

At the International Mentoring Center (IMC), we recognize the pivotal role of quality training in shaping skilled mentors. Our accreditation offers your organization unparalleled credibility and visibility within the mentoring community. Enhance the impact of your organization’s mentoring education by becoming an IMC Accredited Training Center.

The training provider must run a full mentoring skills program of 20 hours, 35 hours, or 50 hours of mentoring training that can qualify a student for Certified Associate Mentor (CAM), Certified Professional Mentor (CPM), or Certified Master Mentor (CMM) credentials, respectively. Training centers must provide courses that provide mentoring skills development or domain knowledge development. Each program’s curriculum must teach the following:

The programs must provide their students with the necessary skills for each credential and ensure that the trainer is the primary mentor supervisor for the first credential cycle. 

The IMC’s accreditation review process is a thorough and rigorous review of mentoring education programs’ quality and standards. Our goal is to ensure accredited training centers maintain the highest standards in mentoring education.

Each section requires you to provide details about your organization or your mentoring training program. Once you submit your application, IMC will thoroughly examine all uploaded documents. The review process may take up to 4-6 weeks from the time you complete the application and payment. You may be asked to provide additional details during the review process; please cooperate with our team for the same.

Upon successful review, you will receive an email update about your IMC accreditation and a digital badge to showcase your accreditation. The accreditation is valid for two years from the date of issue.

The application requires organization details and some questions about your organization’s basic information. These would include information such as

  • Organization Type, Name, and Address of the Training Organization
  • DBA (Doing Business As)
  • Contact Details of the Owner/Director or CEO
  • Company Profile 
  • Legal documents such as business licenses or other regulatory documents.
  • Proof of registration for tax purposes
  • Contact Details for Student Coordinator 
  • Contact Details for Administrative Coordinator 
  • Website and Marketing Compliance 

The application form would require a comprehensive single document of a maximum of 20 MB detailing the program’s governance structure, including policies on:

  • Disability/Discrimination/DEIJ statement/policy
  • Complaint/Grievance policy
  • Enrollment Policy
  • Attendance Policy
  • Assessment Policy
  • Partial completion policy
  • Payments/Program Fees Policy
  • Refund Policy
  • Transfer of credit policy
  • Illness Policy
  • Ethics, Integrity & Transparency Statement

On the application, please provide relevant details about the mentoring training programs that you offer, details like:

  • Program Name, Training hours, Program Curriculum/Outline 
  • Program/Training Presentation 
  • Student Manual 
  • Workbook or any other material supplied to the students 
  • Program Delivery type, Languages, Locations
  • Program Profile/ Brochure/ Marketing Presentation 

 
IMC also requires you to provide detailed profiles of each instructor involved in the mentoring training. This profile should include:

  • First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone 
  • IMC Credential – If you are an IMC Credentialed Mentor, please choose your highest credential
  • Designation 
  • Skills, Area of Expertise, Mode of delivery, and Number of students handled

 
Beyond this, IMC also requires you to provide details about each participant, including Name, Email address, Contact Number, Program Name, Program Start Date, and End Date.

The application form supports PDF files of a 5 MB size limit. This is to ensure compatibility and ease of review.

Training centers often request that we provide mentoring training material to ensure that their courses meet the requirements set by the International Mentoring Center (IMC). To fulfill this, we can provide you with mentoring training materials and resources that meet the standards set by IMC.

As an Accredited Training Partner, the material we provide for you will have a comprehensive curriculum for your students to get mentoring training that follows the highest global standards set by IMC, along with content on Core Competencies, IMC Mentoring Definition, and Code of Ethics. A one-time fee of 2000 USD will be charged to access the material. 

Choosing to become an Accredited Training Partner would also require you to undergo the trainer’s training program, which can be conducted upon request, the fee for which is 1000 USD per person.

The membership fee is 500 USD.  The Accredited Training Center membership will be renewed annually. 

The accreditation fee for each course requiring accreditation is 750 USD. The accreditation is valid for two years from the initial accreditation application date and will require a renewal every 2 years. The same fee of 750 USD will be applicable during accreditation renewal.

International Mentoring Center (IMC) can help you by providing mentoring training content and material that follows all the program prerequisites. As an authorized training center, the program you receive pre-authorized content from IMC with a comprehensive curriculum for your students to get mentoring training that follows the highest global standards set by IMC, along with content on Core Competencies, IMC Mentoring Definition, and Code of Ethics. 

Choosing to become an authorized training center would also require you to undergo the trainer’s training program conducted by IMC.      

The fee to become an Accredited Training Center is 500 USD. 

The fee to become an Authorized Training Center is 1000 USD.

Your accreditation is valid for two years from the initial accreditation application date.

Get Started With Your Accreditation

You can send in a request for your accreditation application with the payment. Once the team receives the request and the payment confirmation, we will send an email with further details on the application process. The application review might take four to six weeks. Your accreditation approval will come to you via email. Your accreditation is valid for two years.
